Our verdict on SendItFax
SendItFax is a browser-based online fax service for individuals, professionals, and small businesses that need to send documents without installing software, maintaining a fax machine, or creating an account. Its focus is outbound faxing to numbers in the United States and Canada. Users can upload PDF, DOC, or DOCX files, attach multiple files to one fax, add an optional cover-page message, and receive email delivery notifications. Fax status tracking is available through a Fax ID.
The pricing structure suits occasional use. The Free Fax plan costs $0 per fax and allows up to three pages plus a cover page, with a maximum of five free faxes per day. It does not require a credit card, but the cover page includes SendItFax branding. Priority Fax costs $1.99 per fax and supports up to 25 pages plus an optional cover, priority delivery, and no SendItFax branding. It has no subscription or recurring charges, making it a straightforward choice when a longer document or faster delivery matters.
SendItFax also provides practical transmission controls for a lightweight web service. It describes HTTPS/SSL/TLS-encrypted transmission, email notifications, status tracking, and automatic deletion of fax content after three days. The trade-off is a narrow platform and feature scope: it offers web access only, with no inbound faxing, integrations, mobile apps, or international faxing. It is a good fit for occasional outbound documents within the U.S. or Canada, while organizations needing inbound workflows, broader regional coverage, or regulated-data assurances should choose a service that addresses those requirements directly.
