Our verdict on Secret Album: Photo Vault
Secret Album: Photo Vault is a freemium app for iPhone and iPad users who want to keep private photos and videos away from a standard gallery. It stores media in encrypted, PIN-protected storage and supports Touch ID and Face ID access. The product also supports compatible Apple-silicon Macs, giving Apple users a focused vault across iOS, iPadOS, and macOS. Its strongest fit is for people who value recovery tools and discreet access options alongside basic private storage.
The feature set goes beyond a single locked album. Users can create alternate access with a decoy PIN, receive break-in alerts with intruder photos, protect individual albums with separate PINs, and capture media through the built-in camera. Deleted-media recovery and secure cloud backup address two practical concerns for a vault app: accidental removal and device loss. A private browser with an ad blocker, slideshow playback, and full-screen viewing round out the experience, though the product remains centered on personal media rather than broader device privacy controls.
Pricing is freemium, with a free plan and optional in-app purchases. The published starting price is 1.99, while the available purchase names include Premium, Secret Album Premium, and Secret Calculator Photo Vault. Because several purchase listings use the same or similar Premium names, shoppers should compare the options carefully before choosing. Secret Album: Photo Vault makes sense for Apple users who want encrypted storage, decoy access, recovery, and backup in one app. It is a weaker choice for anyone who needs Android or broader cross-platform coverage, or who wants a clearly differentiated plan structure.
