Salesforce Maps is a location-based sales and service application built on the Salesforce platform. It is designed for teams that coordinate customer visits and need field activity connected to CRM records. Users can plot accounts, opportunities, leads, and other Salesforce records on interactive maps, prioritize prospects, visualize territories, and create routes and schedules. Mobile access supports route creation, appointment timing, check-ins, and note capture across iOS and Android.
Pricing is structured around two annual plans. Salesforce Maps costs $75 per user per month and includes map-based visualization, data-driven prioritization, and automated routes and schedules. Salesforce Maps: Advanced costs $125 per user per month and adds thematic maps, routing with advanced business logic, and routing for longer time horizons. The product has no free plan, and the published pricing information states that current trial licenses are not available. The Advanced tier is the better fit when planning requires more complex rules or extends across longer planning periods.
Its main advantage is ecosystem fit: Salesforce Maps connects with Salesforce Sales Cloud, Salesforce Calendar, the Salesforce mobile app, and AgentExchange applications. That makes it a focused option for organizations already managing sales or service data in Salesforce. Territory planning, appointment windows, multi-day planning, field check-ins, activity capture, and external market-data visualization broaden its operational scope. However, teams needing offline mobile access should look elsewhere, and organizations outside the Salesforce ecosystem may find the product less suitable. Salesforce customers with structured field-visit workflows should consider it; teams seeking a free, standalone, or offline-first route planner should not.
