Our verdict on Re:Form
Re:Form is a browser-based 3D sculpting studio from Frame Sixty for hobbyists, students, game artists, character artists and 3D-printing users. It runs on WebGPU without installation and combines 34 brushes and tools with subdivision, remeshing, sculpt layers, symmetry, masking and per-vertex color, roughness and metalness painting. Reference planes, orthographic views, rendering, turntables, timelapses, browser autosave and native .clay files extend it beyond basic brush-based sculpting.
The published plans make the Free tier a substantial starting point. It includes all brushes and sculpting tools, sculpt layers, masking, symmetry, remeshing, OBJ import and export, local .clay saves and autosave. This tier is for personal, non-commercial use. Pro costs $9.99 per month or $99 per year and adds an 80-million-triangle budget, STL, GLB and FBX import and export, saved brushes and a commercial license. Enterprise adds team licensing, priority support and custom pipeline conversations to Pro.
Its strongest fit is a simple web workflow that keeps core sculpting available without a paid subscription. GPU acceleration, subdivision levels and remeshing support detailed modeling, while painting and rendering cover additional stages of a small project. The trade-off is platform scope: Re:Form is web-only, and it does not provide automatic or manual retopology. Choose it for accessible sculpting, personal work, learning and browser-based 3D-printing preparation; choose an alternative if local software, broader platform coverage or dedicated retopology workflows are essential.
