Our verdict on RaDisk
RaDisk is a terminal-based disk-usage analyzer for people who want to inspect local files and folders across Windows, macOS, and Linux. Its radial sunburst, indented tree, and largest-files views offer different ways to locate storage use, while keyboard and mouse navigation make the results interactive. The open-source software is aimed at solo users and small teams who prefer a free tool and are comfortable working in a terminal.
For scan work, RaDisk combines parallel directory scanning with streamed progress, configurable exclusions, and mount selection before scanning. Users can export and import snapshots, compare snapshots, and inspect folder-level differences, making it useful for revisiting storage changes rather than only viewing a single scan. Deletion is available through system-trash commands when those commands are available. That approach keeps cleanup tied to the operating system’s trash facilities, but it is not a standalone deletion workflow independent of them.
The main trade-off is its terminal-first interface: people who want a conventional graphical disk map should look elsewhere. Documentation is the listed support channel, so the product is a better fit for self-directed users than buyers seeking a broader support operation. Choose RaDisk if free, cross-platform scans and snapshot comparison matter more than a graphical interface; choose another analyzer if your workflow depends on graphical exploration or cleanup that does not rely on system-trash commands.
