Our verdict on RackNerd
RackNerd provides bare-metal dedicated server hosting for businesses, developers, and infrastructure users. Its offerings suit customers who need full root access, direct server control, and configurable hardware rather than shared or virtualized resources. Linux and Windows operating-system installation is supported, along with custom ISOs, SSD and HDD storage options, and multiple datacenter locations. For a Linux VPS buyer, the main consideration is fit: RackNerd delivers dedicated servers, not VPS instances.
Pricing is organized across three listed monthly plans. The Intel Xeon E3-1230 v2 plan costs $139 per month and includes 16 GB RAM, 480 GB SSD storage, 35 TB monthly transfer, a 1 Gbps network port, and 5 IPv4 addresses. The Intel Xeon E3-1270 v3 plan costs $169 per month and adds 32 GB RAM and 2 x 1 TB SSD storage, while retaining 35 TB transfer, 1 Gbps networking, and 5 IPv4 addresses. The Dual Intel Xeon E5-2650 v2 plan costs $199 per month, with 64 GB RAM, 1 TB SSD storage, 100 TB transfer, a 1 Gbps port, and 5 IPv4 addresses. The listed plans do not include a free tier.
Control and operational access are the strongest reasons to consider RackNerd. IPMI/KVM console access, remote power reboot, a server management interface, custom ISO support, and 24x7 support give infrastructure users several ways to administer a server remotely.
