PropertyShark brings residential and commercial property research together in a web-based platform for U.S. real estate professionals. Brokers, agents, investors, developers, appraisers, attorneys, and mortgage brokers can use property reports to examine ownership, building characteristics, sales, tax, mortgage, zoning, permits, and risk information. It also offers valuation estimates, comparable-sales search, interactive maps, filtered lists, and exports. The vendor states that its sales history starts in 1966, though data depth and availability vary by location.
The product’s strength is record-level due diligence rather than broad market or portfolio analytics. Researchers can search ownership records and portfolios, view some LLC owners, map property and development layers, and investigate foreclosure, pre-foreclosure, REO, and auction activity. Commercial research includes occupant details and reported occupancy and rental-income indicators. Those capabilities suit targeted property searches and list building; teams seeking extensive market-wide or portfolio analysis may need a different tool.
PropertyShark has a free plan and paid Pro, Elite, and Platinum plans, with features added at each level.
