ProjectSend is an open-source client portal for private file exchange with clients, partners, teams, and other external users. It supports self-hosted deployments and an official hosted cloud edition, with client accounts and groups, file assignment, downloads, uploads, permissions, expiration dates, branding, and activity logs. Accounting firms, agencies, law firms, schools, healthcare providers, and photographers can use it when controlled, auditable document exchange matters more than broader client-work management.

The published plans are structured around account, storage, team, and support requirements. Free includes 3 active client accounts, 2 GB of storage, 1 workspace user, encryption, 2FA, a full audit trail, and community support. Pro includes 25 active client accounts, 100 GB of storage, 3 team seats, and 1-year audit history; its own domain and full white-label are listed as coming soon. Business adds unlimited active client accounts, single sign-on, enforced 2FA policies, CSV audit-log export, and priority support. Enterprise adds a dedicated region or deployment in the customer’s cloud account, annual contracts, assisted migration, and commercial licensing options.

Platform fit is a central strength. ProjectSend is available through the web, API, and self-hosted deployments, and supports REST API scoped tokens, S3-compatible storage, LDAP, Microsoft 365, Gmail, Zapier Webhooks, Make, and n8n. Security-oriented controls include encryption, two-factor authentication, granular roles and permissions, automatic file and access expiration, and filtered activity logging with CSV export. Choose ProjectSend for private, permissioned file sharing with open-source flexibility. Organizations needing verified work tracking or a broader client-service workspace should consider a more expansive alternative.
