Our verdict on PriceHistory.app
PriceHistory.app is a free price-tracking service for shoppers who want context before buying on Amazon. Search by product name, ASIN, or product URL to see historical price charts and lowest, average, and highest prices. Target-price, price-drop, and back-in-stock alerts help shoppers watch for a preferred price or renewed availability. Its web service is joined by iOS and Android apps and a Chrome extension, making it relevant to shoppers who want to check prices on mobile or while browsing product pages.
Its feature set extends beyond a simple price graph. PriceHistory.app tracks Amazon coupons and Lightning Deals, compares seller prices and shipping costs, and offers buying guidance based on price trends, including future trend predictions. The extension is described as showing price history on product pages. These tools make it useful for comparing a specific Amazon listing and deciding whether to buy now or wait; shoppers looking only for a basic alert may not need the broader set of comparisons and deal tracking.
Store coverage needs some care: the main page says tracking is enabled only for Amazon and Flipkart, while the Amazon US page identifies separate trackers for the UK, Canada, and Germany. Supported stores therefore depend on the tracker page rather than implying one uniform regional service. The official site describes the Amazon tracker as free, and email is the listed support channel. PriceHistory.app suits mobile shoppers who value alerts, deal tracking, and seller-and-shipping comparisons, particularly on the supported tracker pages. Those who require a clearly consistent set of Amazon stores across regions should compare alternatives before choosing.
