Our verdict on Popcorn RFP
Popcorn RFP is a web-based software-as-a-service product for organizations managing product and service procurement. It brings RFx creation, document kernel libraries, shared question sets, publishing, response collection, internal collaboration, evaluation, scoring, and reporting into one workflow. The product is best suited to small procurement teams that need core RFP publishing and response management without a broader procurement technology stack.
Pricing is structured around two plans. Software Only costs $75 per month and includes publishing RFIs and RFPs, downloading responses, a private kernel, and unlimited access to the community kernel library. Premium Services & Software adds private kernels, multiple teams, and reporting and analytics, with contact-sales pricing. There is no free plan. The paid entry point is straightforward for a small team, while organizations needing multiple teams or expanded reporting should assess the premium tier before committing.
Its main strength is a focused RFx workflow: teams can create requests, reuse questions and document kernels, publish them, download vendor responses, collaborate internally, and score submissions. Reporting and analytics are available, particularly in the premium tier. The narrower scope also defines its limits. Popcorn RFP does not include integrations or AI features, and its approval workflow is not verified. Teams seeking a contained tool for basic RFP publishing and evaluation should find the feature set relevant; organizations that require extensive ecosystem connections, AI-assisted procurement, or a formal approval process should consider a broader alternative.
