Our verdict on Polyglot

Polyglot combines a developer-focused command-line workflow with hosted translation services and optional team automation. It is aimed at teams localizing applications from their codebase, particularly developers who want to catch untranslated hardcoded strings and manage localization through GitHub. Supported frameworks include Next.js, Astro, SvelteKit, Vue, Angular, React Native, and Flutter. Its workflow extends from AST-based detection and extraction to local previews and validation of placeholders, interpolation, and text length.

Integration with developer tools is central to the product. The open GitHub Action provides differential localization checks, while managed catalog synchronization and translation pull requests are available through team automation. GitHub and Visual Studio Code are also listed integrations. Glossary terms, preferred translations, do-not-translate rules, and translation memory provide context for LLM translation and help reuse approved project language. Teams choosing Polyglot should value code-aware localization and pull-request workflows; organizations seeking a broader localization operation beyond these developer workflows may prefer to compare alternatives.

The Free plan includes unlimited local scanning, AST-aware wrapping and preview, the open GitHub Action, glossary and translation memory, and limits of 500 source strings and 2 languages. Pro raises the limits to 10,000 strings and 5 languages, with unlimited characters, glossary overrides, async translation, and email support; it costs $39 per month billed annually or $49 monthly. Team costs $119 per month billed annually or $149 monthly, and adds 25,000 strings, 15 languages, 3M characters per month, 5 developer seats, free reviewers, automation, and review workflow. Scale costs $449 billed annually or $499 monthly, with unlimited strings and languages, 25M characters per month, 15 seats, priority support, and an audit log. Automation is described as early access for Team and Scale, so those plans are a better fit for buyers comfortable with that status.
