Podframes is an open-source local tool for turning a topic into a two-host video podcast. It generates alternating dialogue with Gemini, combines voices from multiple text-to-speech providers, creates or accepts host avatar images, lip-syncs clips to the generated audio, adds captions and optional B-roll, and renders an MP4. It suits creators who want avatar-led podcast videos and are comfortable managing a local workflow and external service credentials.

Its strongest distinction is the depth of the media pipeline. Podframes combines voice mixing, word-level alignment timestamps, per-turn lip-synced video, captioned MP4 rendering, and timed B-roll composition in one process. Avatar images can be selected by AI or supplied as photos.
