Our verdict on Podhoc
Podhoc converts YouTube videos, web articles, Wikipedia pages, pasted text, PDFs, DOCX/DOC files, and TXT files into podcast episodes. It supports narrator monologues, two-voice conversations, and three-voice discussions, with controls for language, voices, source weighting, and duration. The product is suited to learners, researchers, content creators, and teams that want to turn source material into listenable episodes across web, iOS, Android, Chrome, Firefox, Telegram, RSS, and connected devices such as Garmin and Apple Watch.
Its freemium pricing gives buyers several ways to control spending. The Free plan includes 50 welcome credits, one source per podcast, two supported languages, pasted text content, and public Discover publishing. One-time packs start at €2.29 for 100 credits and include one 30-minute podcast at the stated rate; larger packs range from €4.49 for 200 credits to €66.99 for 3,000 credits, and credits never expire. The Creator monthly plan costs €20.99 per month and adds 1,000 credits monthly, up to two sources per podcast, all 73 languages, file uploads, two voices, and read-along transcripts.
Podhoc’s main strength is breadth: it accepts many source formats, supports short summaries through two-hour paid episodes, and provides native mobile apps alongside Chrome and Firefox extensions for saving webpages. Creator and Pro users can disable automatic publishing, while Pro adds multiple-source weighting, script editing and regeneration, RSS export, and a REST API. That makes Podhoc a practical fit for multilingual listeners and source-driven podcast workflows. It is less suitable for users who require private output on the Free plan, need more than one source or two languages without upgrading, or want advanced editing and distribution features without Pro.
