Our verdict on Pezzo

Pezzo is an open-source LLMOps platform for developers and teams building AI applications. It brings prompt editing, variables, provider settings, testing, version commits, environment publishing, and rollback into one workflow. Node.js and Python clients, an API, a web interface, and self-hosted deployment make it suited to engineering teams that want control over how prompts move from development into production. OpenAI and LangChain integrations extend its fit for OpenAI-compatible application stacks.

Prompt lifecycle management is Pezzo’s strongest area. Teams can test prompts and review request, response, cost, duration, and status results before publishing a version. Version history supports distinct prompt commits, while publishing lets teams promote a selected version to an environment such as production. If a change causes problems, an older version can be published again. Request observability and metrics add visibility into costs, timing, and errors, while the OpenAI-compatible proxy and request caching address common operational needs around model calls.

Pezzo is more focused than a broad multi-provider prompt platform. The prompt editor documentation identifies OpenAI Chat Completion as currently supported, while Azure OpenAI and Anthropic are marked coming soon, and the category specification lists single-provider support.
