Our verdict on Pentest-Tools Network Vulnerability Scanner
Pentest-Tools Network Vulnerability Scanner is a cloud-based service for penetration testers, security teams, IT teams, consultants, and organizations assessing public-facing or internal infrastructure. It discovers network hosts and services, detects known CVEs, outdated services, exposed ports, misconfigurations, and weak configurations. The product supports network hosts, hostnames, IP addresses, public-facing infrastructure, internal networks, and private clouds through web and API access. Its scanning engines include OpenVAS, Sniper, and Nuclei templates, with automatic finding validation and evidence capture.
Pricing is freemium. The Free Edition includes basic network vulnerability scanning, basic web, API, cloud, and asset assessment, continuous monitoring and alerts, and PDF, HTML, CSV, and XLSX exports; the free tier is limited to five assets. A 7-day card-required trial is also offered. According to the vendor's pricing page, NetSec starts at $95 per month and adds cloud scanning for AWS, Azure, and GCP vulnerabilities, password auditing, reconnaissance tools, and limited web and API scanning. WebNetSec starts at $140 per month and adds DAST, authenticated web scans, REST and GraphQL API scanning, and selected CMS scanning. Pentest Suite starts at $190 per month and adds automatic CVE exploitation with Sniper, SQL injection and XSS exploiters, DOCX and Google Doc reports, and Burp Suite findings import.
Platform fit is a strong part of the offering. REST API access, webhooks, and integrations with AWS, Azure, GCP, Vanta, Nucleus Security, Jira, Microsoft Teams, Slack, and Discord support security workflows across cloud and collaboration tools. Scheduled and parallel scans, continuous attack-surface monitoring, alerts, and reporting suit teams that need recurring visibility rather than one-off assessment. Choose it when validated findings, broad target coverage, and multiple paid scanning depths matter. Teams needing more than five assets without a paid plan, or seeking advanced web and exploitation capabilities at entry level, should consider alternatives.
