Our verdict on Paymattic

Paymattic is a WordPress plugin for creating payment and donation forms, aimed at small businesses, nonprofits, membership programs, and course providers. It supports one-time payments, subscription payments, recurring donations, customer and donor dashboards, payment reports and analytics, coupons, tax calculation, PDF invoices, and currency settings. Its free version includes Stripe and offline payments, while paid licenses add additional gateways and advanced features. With support for more than 157 currencies, it fits organizations that want to add payment collection to a WordPress site rather than adopt a standalone processor.

The plan structure is straightforward but includes two licensing approaches. The free plan provides a starting point for payment and donation forms. The Personal plan costs $119 per site per year and includes all features, one domain, one year of plugin updates, and one year of priority support. Agency costs $239 per site license per year for 20 domains, while Unlimited costs $359 per site license per year for unlimited domains; both include all features, one year of plugin updates, and one year of priority support. One-time licenses cost $349 for Personal, $599 for Agency, and $899 for Unlimited, with the same domain allowances and unlimited plugin updates and priority support.

Gateway coverage is a central strength. Paymattic integrates with Stripe, PayPal, Square, Authorize.net, Mollie, Razorpay, Paystack, Payrexx, SSLCOMMERZ, Billplz, Xendit, Flutterwave, Moneris, Viva Wallet, and Zapier, and also supports offline bank transfer or cheque. That breadth can suit sites serving different regions or payment preferences. However, the product remains a web or self-hosted WordPress plugin, so it is best for teams already working in that environment. Choose Paymattic when you need configurable forms, recurring billing, donations, and reporting inside WordPress; choose an alternative if your priority is a direct payment processor rather than a site plugin.
