Our verdict on OVPN
OVPN is a paid VPN service for consumers and teams that prioritize privacy and security. It routes internet traffic through VPN servers and provides clients and apps for Windows, macOS, Linux, iOS, and Android. Its feature set includes OpenVPN and WireGuard support, a VPN kill switch, DNS-leak protection, multihop routing, ad and tracker blocking, streaming-service access, and port forwarding for BitTorrent clients.
Privacy is the service's clearest focus. OVPN operates its own diskless server hardware and states that it does not keep activity logs. The service also publishes technical information about its infrastructure and no-logging practices, while its no-logs claims were proved in court. That combination will appeal to buyers who want privacy features that go beyond protocol selection. Multihop, DNS-leak protection, and a kill switch add further safeguards for users who want traffic protection across desktop and mobile platforms.
The plans differ mainly by billing period and simultaneous-device allowance. The 1-month plan protects four devices at a time, the 12-month plan protects five, and the 36-month plan protects seven; all list a no-log policy, high-speed streaming, ad and tracker blocking, port forwarding, and multihop at no additional cost. OVPN supports streaming and torrent use, but its 20-country coverage is narrower than services built around broad geographic choice. Choose OVPN for diskless infrastructure, privacy controls, and port forwarding. Users who need extensive country coverage or more than seven simultaneous devices should consider an alternative.
