Our verdict on Overdrop

Overdrop is an Android weather app for people who want current conditions, forecasts and alerts alongside a customizable home-screen display. It includes hourly and 7-day forecasts, multiple saved locations, air quality and UV monitoring, and weather alerts that include severe conditions. Users can select among Foreca, OpenWeatherMap and Weatherbit as weather data providers. Widgets, themes and weather animations give the app a display-customization focus beyond checking a forecast. Its listed audience includes solo users and small teams, though the product itself is a mobile app for individual weather information needs.

The free version includes core weather features and ads. Pro is an in-app purchase that adds features such as radar, additional widgets, themes and an ad-free experience. Radar is described as a premium feature, so users looking specifically for radar maps and selectable layers should expect to need Pro rather than assume those capabilities are part of the free experience. Pro pricing is described in-app, and there is no starting price to compare here. This makes the free version a useful place to assess the core forecast experience, while buyers who want the broader display and radar features should check the in-app offer before deciding.

Overdrop fits Android users who value a choice of weather data providers, location saving and a more tailored phone display. Its feature set combines forecasts with alerts and environmental readings such as air quality and UV, which suits people who want those details in one app. The main trade-offs are its Android-only availability, ads in the free version and a paid upgrade for radar and extra customization. Email is the listed support channel. Choose Overdrop if customizable widgets and provider choice matter; consider another option if you need a different platform or want radar without a Pro purchase.
