OtisIO review
A broad workforce platform that suits teams combining leave, rotas, time clocks and payroll.

OtisIO is workforce management software for shift-based and multisite teams that need more than leave requests alone. It combines leave and absence management with rotas, employee scheduling, time tracking, payroll exports, tasks, communication and HR features. Employees can request leave, view balances and receive approval decisions, while approved leave blocks rota scheduling conflicts. Access is available through web, iOS, Android, macOS and API options, making it suitable for teams working across sites and devices.
The plan structure makes OtisIO accessible for smaller teams, while paid tiers add progressively deeper workforce controls. The permanent Free plan supports up to 10 users and includes rotas, shift scheduling, a time clock, tasks, checklists and time off. Starter costs £29 per month on annual billing and adds GPS-stamped punches, timesheet approval, payroll export and digital forms, with the first 30 users included. Growth costs £59 per month on annual billing and adds advanced and bulk scheduling, accrual-based leave entitlements, automatic UK bank holidays and equipment sign-out. Pro costs £99 per month on annual billing and adds geofencing, kiosk mode, payroll and accounting integrations, workflow automation, unlimited sites and expenses. Enterprise has custom pricing, single sign-on, directory provisioning and SLA support.
Its strongest fit is an operation where leave must coordinate with shifts, attendance and payroll. Leave balances can use accrual-based entitlements, automatic UK bank-holiday calendars include substitute days, and employees have self-service access to requests and balances. Payroll and accounting connections include Xero, Staffology, QuickBooks and FreeAgent, while time clocks support GPS, kiosk, NFC, mobile and browser options. The natural-language scheduling assistant adds another scheduling layer. Teams seeking only straightforward leave management may find the wider workforce scope and paid starting price less suitable; teams needing scheduling and payroll alongside leave have a closer fit.
