Our verdict on onwrite

onwrite brings a website, blog, email newsletter, and written courses together for writers, teachers, and independent experts who publish primarily in writing. A post can appear as a web page and be sent to subscribers as an email campaign. Built-in signup, confirmation, unsubscribe, and bounce handling support the subscriber flow, while the dashboard shows subscribers and campaign activity. Its course tools cover modules, lessons, quizzes, and student progress, making it relevant to solo writers who want to pair a newsletter with paid text-based teaching.

The published plans show two monthly options. Writer costs $9 per month and includes one blog with its own address, up to 1,000 subscribers, 10,000 email sends per month, and the ability to sell courses to up to 100 students. It also includes unlimited posts, every theme, and a custom domain connection. Pro costs $19 per month and includes everything in Writer, raises the subscriber limit to 5,000 and monthly email sends to 50,000, and allows up to 1,000 course students. A 14-day trial is available without a card, but subscriber collection and email sending start only on a paid plan. Stripe is the listed integration for paid course access.

The combination of email and web publishing with course delivery is the main reason to consider onwrite: a writer can keep posts, subscriber activity, and lessons in one service, with JSON export for posts, tags, profile, and settings. The trade-off is a writing-centered scope and usage limits tied to each plan. Writers seeking a broader set of verified newsletter capabilities or platforms beyond web may prefer to compare alternatives. Choose onwrite if written courses belong alongside your newsletter; skip it if that combination is not useful or the plan limits do not fit your audience and sending needs.
