Okta Workflows review
A strong fit for identity workflows, but not infrastructure configuration automation.

Okta Workflows is a cloud identity automation and orchestration platform for organizations using Okta. Administrators can create no-code flows with triggers, actions, templates, pre-built application connectors, and custom integrations. Its main audience is mid-market and enterprise teams automating employee and partner onboarding, offboarding, provisioning, data synchronization, group membership changes, reports, notifications, and security response workflows without maintaining custom scripts or extensive integration code.
Pricing is presented within Okta Workforce Identity suites rather than as a standalone Workflows price. The Starter plan is $6 per user per month, billed annually, and includes Single Sign-On, Multi-Factor Authentication, Universal Directory, and 5 Workflows flows. Core Essentials is $14 per user per month with 5 Workflows flows. Essentials is $17 per user per month and adds Adaptive MFA, Privileged Access, Lifecycle Management, Identity Governance, and 50 Workflows flows. Professional and Enterprise include the maximum active Workflows flows. A 30-day free trial is available, and the published plans show no free plan.
Its ecosystem is a practical strength: connectors include Airtable, Asana, Atlassian Admin, Auth0, AWS Lambda, AWS S3, BambooHR, Box, CrowdStrike, DocuSign, Dropbox for Business, Freshservice, GitHub, Gmail, and Google Drive. API requests, triggers, and actions extend workflows to public APIs. Okta Workflows is a good choice when identity and SaaS administration are the center of automation, particularly for onboarding, lifecycle management, and remediation. Teams primarily seeking patching or configuration management should choose an infrastructure-focused automation product instead.
