Nyas Object Storage review
Accessible S3 storage for small projects, with limited advanced data-management features.

Nyas Object Storage provides S3-compatible buckets inside Nyas projects. It is aimed at developers building SaaS products, APIs, internal tools, AI-agent applications, and other modern applications that store files, assets, datasets, or model artifacts. The service is available through the web and API, with generated storage endpoints, bucket names, and access keys. Per-project buckets and isolated credentials give each project a separate storage boundary, while path-style addressing supports common S3 access patterns.
The plan structure starts with Free, which includes 1 GB of file storage, 2 projects, 1 GB of monthly egress, and Community Discord support. Starter expands capacity to 10 GB of storage, 5 projects, and 10 GB of monthly egress, while adding daily backups with 7-day retention. Growth provides 50 GB of storage, 25 projects, and 100 GB of monthly egress, with daily backups retained for 14 days and priority WhatsApp/Slack support. The tiers fit an incremental move from experimentation to small production workloads, although backup retention and higher allowances are reserved for paid plans.
Compatibility is the strongest reason to consider Nyas. AWS SDK, boto3, AWS CLI, S3-compatible SDKs and tools, and presigned URLs support familiar development and migration workflows. HTTP and HTTPS access are available, and standard S3 tooling can be used to move data in and out. The trade-off is a narrow feature set for teams needing advanced object-management controls: versioning, lifecycle management, immutability, and replication are not part of the offering. Choose Nyas for straightforward application storage and isolated project buckets; choose an alternative when those operational controls are central to the workload.

- Per-project buckets use isolated credentials and standard S3 tooling
- Where it doesn't
- No versioning, lifecycle management, immutability, or replication
- Free plan is limited to 2 projects and 1 GB of storage
- Advanced support and backup retention require paid plans
