Nirvana is a to-do and task-management application organized around the Getting Things Done workflow. It is designed for people who want more structure than a basic checklist, with dedicated Inbox, Next, Waiting, Scheduled, and Someday lists. Projects, areas of focus, tags, contexts, due dates, checklists, and contacts extend the workflow from quick capture to ongoing planning. Nirvana is available on the web, macOS, Windows, iOS, and Android, with synchronization across devices.

The free plan covers core task management with the main GTD lists, basic projects and areas of focus, notes and checklists, tags and contexts, sync, and email capture. Pro costs $3 per user per month when billed annually and adds unlimited projects, unlimited areas, recurring to-dos, and priority support. Recurring tasks, advanced filters, full-text search, Focus views, Focus email digests, and the built-in AI assistant support a more detailed system for managing commitments. The plan split makes the free version suitable for a focused starting point, while Pro is aimed at users whose workflow depends on ongoing projects and repetition.

Nirvana’s main strength is its narrow, structured approach: it gives GTD users a consistent place for capture, clarification, scheduling, reference, and focus. Projects can use parallel or sequential task behavior, and email-to-Inbox capture helps turn incoming work into actionable items. The trade-off is that the product does not include calendar integration, so users who need task and calendar views in one system should consider an alternative. Choose Nirvana for GTD-centered planning across multiple platforms; choose another to-do app if calendar-connected scheduling is essential.

    • No calendar integration
    • Recurring to-dos require the Pro plan
    • Advanced workflows may be narrower outside the GTD method
