Our verdict on NewTom NNT
NewTom NNT brings acquisition, processing, display and sharing of 2D and 3D scans into dental and other clinical imaging workflows. Its treatment-planning modes cover implantology, endodontics, periodontics, radiology and maxillofacial surgery, making it relevant to clinics that need more than image viewing alone. The feature set is broad, particularly for practices working with CBCT and specialty planning; clinics seeking only a basic image viewer may find its scope more than they need.
Planning and analysis tools are a central strength. NNT provides dental cross-sections in panoramic views and multi-slice radiology analysis, while implant-site evaluation estimates bone density and applies Misch scale classification. It can also measure upper airway volume. For dose documentation, the Dose Book Tool collects patient dose data and exports selected scan data as PDF or CSV. The software creates an NNT Viewer for sharing and exports examination data in DICOM format. Support for compatible intraoral sensors and other acquisition devices extends image management beyond scans from one modality. DICOM, TWAIN, VDDS and RIS/PACS integrations offer options for fitting into imaging workflows.
