Our verdict on DEXIS Imaging Suite
For dental practices that manage radiographs and clinical photos alongside patient records, DEXIS Imaging Suite brings capture, viewing and management into a desktop imaging workflow. It supports 2D images and selected 3D equipment, and its modules cover sensor capture, video and still images, chairside reports, and synchronization between office locations. Multi-location practices using DEXIS equipment are a natural fit; clinics needing broad compatibility across imaging hardware should examine the specified device support closely.
The workflow extends into practice-management systems through DEXintegrator, which links X-rays and photos to patient charts. DEXIS IS ScanFlow connects intraoral scan data, while DEXview 3D manages images from specified i-CAT FLX V-series and DEXIS ORTHOPANTOMOGRAPH OP 3D units. DEXray offers a one-click full-mouth series workflow, and DEXwrite creates chairside reports from images using templates. This makes the suite more than a viewer, but its 3D role is tied to named compatible equipment rather than establishing general-purpose CBCT or DICOM compatibility.
DEXsync is aimed at practices operating across locations, synchronizing patient databases between offices.
