Our verdict on NetScanPro
NetScanPro is an iOS app for finding and identifying devices connected to a local Wi-Fi network. It is aimed at home network administrators, IT professionals, and security-conscious iPhone users who want a view of devices and their identifying details. The app shows addresses, hostnames, categories, and vendor information, and the vendor says scans and identification run on-device. Its scope is local network visibility rather than a cross-platform security management system.
The free plan costs nothing and includes unlimited device discovery, up to three network scans per day, hostname, IP, MAC, and vendor information, Bonjour/mDNS service detection, and Face ID protection. Pro is listed by the vendor at $6.99 one-time. It adds unlimited scans, common-port scanning on every device across 25 ports, a network security summary, severity-tiered notes, plain-language port explanations, PDF report export, and device renaming. This makes the free tier useful for checking what is connected, while the more security-focused review workflow sits behind Pro.
NetScanPro keeps device lists and scan histories separate by network, which suits people checking more than one Wi-Fi environment. On-device scanning is a meaningful fit for users who prefer local analysis, and the mix of discovery methods offers more than a simple device list. The trade-offs are its iOS-only availability and the paid boundary around security findings and port scans. Choose it for local Wi-Fi inventory and readable security summaries on iPhone; look elsewhere if you need Android support or security checks without upgrading.
