Our verdict on MyRental
MyRental provides tenant screening and online rental applications for individual landlords and property managers. Its features include TransUnion credit reports, TU Rental Score, housing-court data, multi-state, statewide, and county criminal searches, a multi-state sex-offender registry search, address information, terrorist checks, and Income Insights. Applicants can complete a free online rental application covering personal, employment, income, residence-history, and lease information. Credit-report products use an applicant credit-consent workflow, and the service includes acceptance and adverse-action letters.
Pricing is available by package or individual report, with no sign-up or monthly fees. Basic costs $24.99 per applicant and includes Housing Court Data, Additional Address Information, Terrorist Alert, Multi-State Criminal, and Multi-State Sex Offender. Premium costs $38.99 per applicant and adds a Credit Report, TU Rental Score, and Renter Pay Option. Signature costs $43.99 per applicant and adds Income Insights to Premium. Individual reports start at $7.99 per report: Housing Court Data costs $7.99, Multi-State Criminal costs $19.99, County Criminal costs $14.99, Credit Report costs $14.99, and Credit and Income Insights costs $20.99.
MyRental suits landlords who want to purchase reports individually or select a package for each applicant. Its coverage may be narrower in jurisdictions where housing-court or criminal information is restricted, and some criminal information is unavailable in Massachusetts. Income Insights compares credit behavior with self-reported income and recommends whether additional verification may be needed, but it is not an income-verification service. Choose an alternative if identity verification or documented income verification is essential, or if you need integrations beyond the web platform.
