Our verdict on mycloud Back Office
mycloud Back Office is a web-based hotel accounting and back-office system for independent hotels, hotel chains and multi-property hospitality businesses. Its scope extends from purchasing and receiving to inventory, food-and-beverage costing, sales and purchase ledgers, petty cash, bank reconciliation, general ledger, departmental profit-and-loss reporting and tax reporting. The system supports on-site deployment, hosted installations and cloud service use, making it suitable for properties with different deployment preferences.
Pricing starts with the Basic Plan at £8 per room per month, billed monthly, with a minimum of 20 rooms. It includes hotel software, POS, a web booking engine, housekeeping, accounts receivable and reports. The Standard Plan costs £12 per room per month and adds contactless check-in, a QR menu for POS, an accounts interface, social listening and free setup. At £16 per room per month, the Premium Plan adds a channel manager, no transaction fee, unlimited POS, unlimited interfaces and unlimited channels.
The strongest fit is a small hotel that wants accounting depth without buying a narrowly focused ledger tool. Purchasing and purchase-order workflows, rate contracts, supplier catalogues, receiving, inventory management, F&B variance reporting and departmental operating P&L reporting give the back office a broad operational remit. PMS, POS and payroll interfaces support connected hospitality workflows, while multi-property support extends its scope beyond a single site. Hotels needing only basic bookkeeping may find this wider feature set unnecessary, and properties below the 20-room minimum should look elsewhere.
