- Usage is measured in compute units, not a fixed request quota
- Higher throughput and RPC capacity require paid tiers
Our verdict on Moralis
Moralis brings blockchain data APIs, RPC access, event streams, and managed indexing together for developers building wallets, dashboards, decentralized applications, compliance tools, or analytics products. Its emphasis is retrieving, monitoring, and exporting onchain data rather than developing or deploying smart contracts. That makes it a fit for teams that want data infrastructure without operating their own indexing stack, but a less natural choice for developers seeking a contract-development platform.
The published plans scale through monthly compute-unit allowances and throughput. Starter includes 2 million compute units per month, 40 RPS, access to all networks, RPC node access, and Wallet, Token, NFT, Price, Blockchain, DeFi APIs, and Streams. Pro raises the allowance to 100 million units and 80 RPS, with 20 RPC nodes, premium endpoints, and a priority queue for NFT sync. Business includes 500 million units, 200 RPS, unlimited RPC nodes, and larger API payloads. Enterprise offers custom throughput limits, a custom solution, and 24/7 engineering access, support, and monitoring. The free plan supports evaluation, while teams should compare their expected compute use and throughput needs against the published tiers.
For products that need downstream analytics, Moralis can export data to Snowflake, BigQuery, or Amazon S3, alongside integrations with Slack, Telegram, and Discord. Managed indexing and historical backfills complement the APIs and webhook-delivered streams, while wallet history, balances, transfers, and token metadata queries cover common application data needs. The service is cloud-based and available through web and API; support channels include email, community, and documentation. Choose Moralis when broad blockchain data access and export workflows are central. Look elsewhere if the priority is contract development rather than onchain data services.
