MIDY is a browser-based MIDI generator for producers and songwriters who want quick melodic material to bring into a digital audio workstation. Its free Quick Generate engine creates melodies, chord progressions and arpeggios from selectable settings without an account or usage limits. AI Compose accepts natural-language descriptions and returns three melody takes per generation. The piano-roll view provides playback and a way to inspect results before downloading MIDI.
The workflow is focused on generation and export rather than editing inside MIDY. Users can choose key, mood, instrument, tempo and length, and the tool offers seven mood/scale modes. Downloads are standard .mid files with melody and chord tracks, designed for import into Ableton Live, FL Studio, Logic Pro, Cubase, GarageBand, Reaper, Pro Tools, Studio One or Bitwig. MIDY runs in a web browser; it does not offer a standalone app or VST/AU plugin.
