Our verdict on Metaplane
Metaplane is a cloud data observability platform for data teams monitoring warehouses, databases, transformation jobs, business intelligence tools, and related data-stack metadata. It detects row-count changes, freshness delays, schema changes, nullness, uniqueness, and statistical shifts. Automatic machine-learning detection uses historical data, while teams can also set manual upper and lower thresholds. The platform is available through the web and API, making it a fit for cloud data teams that need monitoring across a modern analytics stack.
The published plans provide a clear entry point. Free is available forever at $0 per month and includes monitoring for 10 tables, 4 users, automated anomaly detection, and email support. Pro uses usage-based pricing based on monitored tables and adds 12 users plus unlimited viewers, partition and rolling-window monitors, and PagerDuty alerting. Enterprise adds unlimited monitored tables, custom integrations, SSO with Okta, AD, and SAML, AWS or Azure PrivateLink support, premium support, and a shared Slack channel.
