Our verdict on Memmie
Memmie is a private photo and video storage service for families who want to organize memories around events and shared timelines. Its event-based Moments group photos and videos, while connected family timelines bring related memories together. Families can upload in batches, filter by person, place, date, event type, timeline, or Moment, and share selectively using viewer, contributor, and manager roles. Original files remain available for download, and storage is private by default without advertising.
The free plan costs €0 forever and includes 5 GB of storage, original photo and video storage, original-file downloads, private-by-default storage, and no advertising. The Family plan costs €4.99 per month and adds 100 GB, unlimited Moments, multiple family timelines, Shared Moments, family contributions, and full export. Storage add-ons cost €9.99 per month for an additional 250 GB or €14.99 per month for an additional 600 GB. Payment activation for paid plans is not yet live, so checkout availability should be verified before subscribing.
Memmie’s main strength is its family-centered organization rather than broad platform coverage: it combines event grouping, connected timelines, contributions, filtering, and role-based sharing in one web service. It supports photos and videos, but access is web-only, and person tagging is manual because automatic facial recognition is not provided. Families prioritizing private event-based archives and original exports should find the feature set closely aligned with their needs. Those seeking native app access or automatic face-based discovery should choose an alternative with those capabilities.
