A broad membership operations system with free entry and account-based paid plans.

MembershipWorks is a web-based membership and event management system for chambers of commerce, professional and trade associations, nonprofits, networking groups, societies, and other member-based organizations. Its scope extends beyond billing: member records and CRM tools sit alongside online payments, recurring subscriptions, directories, events, forms, donations, member-only content, reporting, and automated member emails. Member self-service covers profiles, payment methods, and account access, while renewal and past-due notices support ongoing administration.
Pricing is account-based. The Free plan is limited to 50 accounts, and paid functionality is restricted on that plan. Paid plans start at $35 per month for up to 300 accounts, followed by $59 for up to 600, $95 for up to 1,200, $145 for up to 2,500, $205 for up to 5,000, and $259 for up to 10,000 accounts. The published plans show the same core feature set across these account levels: membership management, member directories, event calendars, online membership payments, and members-only content. Member billing can use monthly, quarterly, or annual intervals, while the plans themselves are billed monthly. MembershipWorks states that it offers a 30-day money-back guarantee rather than a free trial.
Its ecosystem fit is a key consideration for organizations that already manage websites, payments, accounting, or email through other services. Integrations include Stripe, PayPal, Authorize.net, Xero, QuickBooks, Mailchimp, WordPress, Squarespace, Weebly, Wix, and Duda. Exports to QuickBooks, Xero, and spreadsheets add options for accounting workflows. Directories include profiles, maps, search, and privacy controls, while event tools cover registrations, tickets, and online payments. Choose MembershipWorks when membership administration, billing, events, and related operations belong in one system. Organizations seeking only a narrow billing tool, or a native mobile platform, should consider a more focused alternative.
