Our verdict on MakeShift
MakeShift brings employee scheduling and time tracking together for shift-based organizations. Managers can build schedules online with drag-and-drop tools, set availability and time-off rules, and handle shift exchanges. Employees and managers have mobile apps, while time tools include clock-in and clock-out, geofencing, photo punches, timesheets and payroll export. Its focus suits teams that need scheduling and attendance in one workflow, particularly those already working with ADP products.
ADP is a notable part of its ecosystem: listed connections include ADP Workforce Now, Workforce Now Essential Time and Workforce Now Next Generation. The integrations are described as two-way, with employee information, schedules, time data and approved time off synchronized. Other listed connections include SAP SuccessFactors, QuickBooks and BambooHR, and the product also offers an open API.
