MakeShift brings employee scheduling and time tracking together for shift-based organizations. Managers can build schedules online with drag-and-drop tools, set availability and time-off rules, and handle shift exchanges. Employees and managers have mobile apps, while time tools include clock-in and clock-out, geofencing, photo punches, timesheets and payroll export. Its focus suits teams that need scheduling and attendance in one workflow, particularly those already working with ADP products.

ADP is a notable part of its ecosystem: listed connections include ADP Workforce Now, Workforce Now Essential Time and Workforce Now Next Generation. The integrations are described as two-way, with employee information, schedules, time data and approved time off synchronized. Other listed connections include SAP SuccessFactors, QuickBooks and BambooHR, and the product also offers an open API. Setup for ADP integrations is vendor-assisted, which may fit organizations that want implementation support but is less suited to teams seeking a self-serve connection. Web, iOS and Android access extend the workflow beyond desktop scheduling.

The paid plans vary by scope. Core covers basic scheduling, rotation templates, availability, labor budgets, rules and team communication. Advanced adds self-scheduling, advanced call-outs, permissions and rules, with advanced time available as an add-on. Elite includes API access, customization and enterprise integration when available; separate Time & Attendance and ShiftMate AI options cover mobile clocking and AI support, forecasting and insights. A 14-day free trial is offered, but Advanced, Elite and ShiftMate AI are quote-based, and the pricing page does not identify its currency. MakeShift is a fit for teams prioritizing ADP-connected scheduling and time tools; organizations wanting clearly published paid-tier costs should compare alternatives before committing.
