Mails.ai is an email infrastructure API for developers building AI agents. It supports sending, receiving, and replying to email through REST, SDK, webhook, and MCP access. Structured inbound reply events, optional intent, entity, and urgency classification, and inbound prompt-injection scanning support agent workflows. Integrations include the OpenAI Agents SDK, Anthropic SDK, LangGraph, Mastra, Vercel AI SDK, Pydantic AI, Claude Code, Cursor, Cline, Continue, and Windsurf.

Pricing is capacity-based across three monthly plans. Free includes 3,000 events per month, one agent, a TypeScript SDK and REST access, an MCP server, and no credit card requirement. Pro costs $20 per month and adds 50K sends, 50K inbound replies, five agents, HMAC-signed webhooks, an SDK reactor, and injection scanning on every inbound. Scale costs $99 per month and includes 250K sends, 500K inbound replies, unlimited agents, per-agent allowlists and budgets, and priority support. The published plans make the product suitable for evaluating an agent workflow before increasing capacity.

Its strongest focus is operational email infrastructure for agent systems: sender reputation scoring, reputation-based throttling, complaint auto-pause, and suppression at send time address delivery controls, while structured reply events provide machine-readable inbound handling. However, the current API blocks cold outreach, and the product is not presently positioned as a conventional cold-email sequencing tool. Buyers seeking API-first email agents should consider Mails.ai; teams needing verified campaign sequencing, warm-up, mailbox rotation, or a user-facing campaign platform should choose an alternative.
