Our verdict on Lumin Digital

Lumin Digital provides cloud-based online and mobile banking software for banks and credit unions. Its platform covers retail banking dashboards, transaction activity, alerts, self-service account tasks, transfers, P2P payments, bill pay, loan payments, and remote deposit capture. Commercial capabilities include ACH, permissions, transaction limits, and credit card management. Institutions can also configure digital account opening for deposit products and loan applications. Lumin sells to financial institutions, which configure the experience for their customers or members rather than offering consumer deposit accounts directly.

Integration breadth is a central part of the platform. Lumin describes more than 200 third-party integrations available or in development, with named connections including Alacriti, BioCatch, Alloy, Pinwheel, Jack Henry, Velera, and SavvyMoney. APIs and SDKs support programmatic access and third-party extensions. Administrative tools cover alert configuration, account settings, credential management, and secure messaging, while AI-assisted features support campaign audience creation, secure form creation, and FAQ authoring. Deployment options include cloud, mobile, and self-hosted environments, with web, iOS, Android, and API access. The platform also lists SOC 2 compliance.

Pricing follows a contact-sales model, and there is no free plan. That structure suits mid-market and enterprise financial institutions evaluating a configured banking environment, especially those that need both consumer and business servicing. The feature set is broad, but implementation depends on the participating institution’s configuration and connected services. Customer-facing mobile apps are typically supplied through those institutions, and the Android listing is a demo banking app. Organizations seeking a direct-to-consumer deposit account product or publicly posted self-service pricing should consider a different type of provider.
