Our verdict on Live Lingua
Live Lingua is an online language school for learners who want guided study with a tutor rather than a self-directed course. It offers live one-to-one lessons and group conversation or lessons, with tutor matching based on goals and preferences. Learners can study for personal, travel, business, or academic aims, and the service covers seven languages. Its mix of private and group formats makes it relevant to people seeking both individual instruction and conversation practice.
The published standard Spanish rate is $27 per hour for 1–9 hours, billed as a one-time purchase. That rate is the stated starting price for Spanish; other language courses may be priced differently. There is no free plan, but Live Lingua offers a free 30-minute trial lesson and does not require a card for the trial. After choosing lessons, students purchase and schedule them through a dashboard. This suits someone who wants to assess a tutor-led format before paying, but learners comparing subscriptions or looking for ongoing free access may prefer another option.
Tutor matching, personalized lesson plans, and tutor-provided learning materials are central to the offering. Progress reports are provided after every 20 hours of lessons. Google Calendar is the listed integration, and support is available by email and phone. The service runs on the web. Choose Live Lingua if tutor guidance, a trial, and private or group lesson choices matter more than a self-paced curriculum; consider alternatives if you need a free plan or want a Spanish rate to stand for every language.
