Our verdict on Little Vault
Little Vault is a private, invite-only memory archive for families, couples, friends, and individuals. It brings photos, videos, voice notes, written messages, and letters into shared vaults, with roles for contributors, viewers, and future recipients. Families can create group archives, while private QR event capsules offer a focused way to collect memories around an occasion. The service is available through a web app and an iOS app.
Its freemium structure gives users a Free tier to start, alongside Premium and Premium Lifetime plans. Premium adds unlimited memories per vault, original-quality photo storage, HD video, full edit rights for invited contributors, and time-locked memories. The standout feature is the combination of collaborative archiving and future delivery: users can invite contributors, organize shared memories, and set unlock dates for memories and letters. Full archive export in original quality also gives users a direct way to retain their stored content. Little Vault fits buyers who value private family storytelling more than broad media-management features.
The main trade-off is platform breadth. Little Vault supports web and iOS, but it does not offer a desktop app, so households looking for a desktop-centered archive should consider a wider-coverage service instead. It is also described as being in early access, which matters for buyers prioritizing a more established product stage. For families preserving private multimedia memories, the focused vault model, role controls, time-locked content, and original-quality export make a clear case. Buyers seeking a general-purpose photo service, broader device coverage, or features beyond its archive-centered approach may prefer an alternative.
