Leafcloud Object Storage is a managed, S3-compatible service for files, backups, logs, application assets, Terraform state, and static website content. It is hosted in Amsterdam on a Ceph-backed cluster and can be accessed through a web dashboard, OpenStack, CLI tools, SDKs, and S3 clients. The feature set fits small, mid-market, and enterprise teams that want European cloud storage with S3 workflows, including Kubernetes backups through Velero and static website hosting.

The published plan is straightforward: Object Storage costs €0.0242944 per GB per month, billed monthly. It charges for used storage, has no minimum commitment, and includes no API costs. Egress fees do not apply within Leafcloud infrastructure. A 14-day free trial is available, but there is no free plan. Tool compatibility is a notable strength, with support for AWS CLI, boto3, Terraform, Velero, Cyberduck, MinIO Client, rclone, Kopia, Restic, Duplicati, Nextcloud, and GitLab CI/CD. Terraform S3 backend support and presigned URLs also suit infrastructure and application workflows.

Access controls include public and private containers, bucket policies, and ACLs. Multipart uploads support larger transfers, while the maximum object size is 5 TB. Lifecycle rules are available, and regional replication is supported. The service does not currently enable versioning, which limits recovery and retention options for teams that need object-history controls. Compliance coverage includes SOC 2, ISO 27001, and GDPR, with support provided through email and documentation. Choose Leafcloud for usage-based S3 storage, European hosting, and integrations around backups or infrastructure. Consider an alternative if versioning or stronger object-protection controls are essential.
