Our verdict on Lain.sh KVM VPS
Lain.sh KVM VPS provides cloud-based virtual private servers for developers, websites, APIs, staging environments, games and networking workloads. Its KVM full virtualization, AMD EPYC compute, SSD storage and IPv4/IPv6 networking suit solo, small and mid-market teams that want direct control. The service supports Linux, Windows Server, RouterOS, FreeBSD and custom images, with facilities in Tokyo, Hong Kong and Singapore plus additional US products.
The paid catalog is split across general and regional plans. Nano provides 1 vCore, 512 MB RAM, 5G SSD and 2000G traffic in and out; Lite doubles memory and storage to 1024 MB and 10G SSD with 4000G traffic. Medium offers 2 vCore, 2048 MB RAM, 20G SSD and 8000G traffic. Web Series moves to 2 vCore, 4096+ MB RAM, 40+G SSD and 4TB traffic, while Web Series+ provides 4 vCore, 8192 MB RAM, 80+G SSD and 6TB traffic. JP Special, HK Special and US Special each provide 1 vCore, 512 MB RAM, 5G SSD and 800G traffic in and out, with no-refund policies.
Operations center on a self-service VirtFusion panel for deployment, reinstalling, rebooting and resizing. BGP session coordination adds a networking option, and the platform offers web, Windows, Linux and API access. Email, tickets and community channels are available, with 24/7 support and DDoS protection. Lain.sh fits users comfortable administering their own virtual servers and choosing operating-system images; teams wanting managed administration should consider a different provider. The regional special plans also require care because their no-refund terms differ from a standard purchase expectation.
