Our verdict on La Crosse Technology WT551
The WT551 is a tabletop digital alarm clock for people who want projected time and temperature alongside conventional clock functions. Its projector direction adjusts through 180 degrees, and the color display offers high, low, and off backlight settings. Two snooze alarms support separate wake-up times, while an indoor temperature reading and moon phases add information to the display. It is a focused fit for a bedside table, particularly if projection and a USB charging port matter more than a broader set of connected features.
According to La Crosse Technology’s French product page, the WT551 is listed at €55 as a one-time purchase. The listed WT551 package highlights the color display, adjustable time and temperature projection, two snooze alarms, and USB charging port. Power comes from an AC adapter or two AAA batteries; the batteries are not included. The clock also supports radio-controlled time and date, with manual time setting as an option. Buyers who want a standalone alarm clock with projection and two alarms get those features in one device, rather than choosing among separate plans or service tiers.
The strongest reasons to choose this model are its adjustable projection, dual alarms, and combination of radio-controlled time with manual setting. The USB port can charge mobile devices, and the indoor temperature can be displayed in Celsius or Fahrenheit. Its limits are practical: it is a desktop device, the port is for charging rather than a stated connectivity ecosystem, and battery behavior for preserving alarm settings during an outage is not specified. Choose the WT551 if these clock and charging functions match your bedside setup; consider another alarm clock if you need a different form factor or a different charging arrangement.
