Klennet Carver is Windows data recovery software for reconstructing fragmented files when a filesystem is badly damaged. It is particularly suited to digital-camera and dash-camera memory cards, but it can also scan hard drives, whole-disk image files, and VHD/VHDX disk images. Supported formats include JPEG, Canon CR2, Nikon NEF, MP4, MOV, 3GP, AVI, MPEG-2, DAV, ZIP, DOCX, XLSX, and PPTX. Home users and recovery professionals can preview recoverable images and videos before purchase, while the evaluation version does not copy recovered files out.

Pricing is straightforward and one-time. The Personal use license costs $39 and is for home users, including 30 days of support and updates. Commercial use costs $199 for data recovery services and forensic use; its first-time license includes one year of support and updates. A Commercial updates renewal costs $49 one-time and renews commercial license updates for one year. The published plans make Carver a focused purchase for a specific recovery problem rather than a general-purpose subscription service.

Its standout capability is fragment reconstruction across damaged media. Entire-media scanning, unallocated-space scanning on supported mounted volumes or images, autosave checkpoints, optional RAM and temporary-drive caching, and video header stealing for selected memory-card cases support more involved recovery jobs. The scope remains narrow: Carver runs on 64-bit Windows 10 or later, centers on listed photo, video, archive, and Office formats, and does not provide RAID or bootable recovery. Choose it for fragmented media recovery, especially memory cards; choose an alternative when broader storage-system coverage is the priority.
