Our verdict on Keysight Eggplant

Keysight Eggplant, currently presented on Keysight pages as Automation Intelligence (Eggplant Test), is an enterprise test automation platform for QA and DevOps teams. It covers web, desktop, mobile, APIs, Citrix, VDI, device farms, mainframes, and packaged software, with deployment across cloud and on-premise environments. Teams testing complex interfaces across multiple operating systems and execution environments are the clearest fit.

Its platform and ecosystem coverage are broader than mobile testing alone. Tests can be reused across web, Windows, macOS, Linux, iOS, Android, Citrix, VDI, and device farms, while APIs and toolchain connectors support CI/CD integration. The listed integrations include Jenkins, Azure DevOps, Git, and GitHub. Hybrid execution, cross-browser testing, scheduling, and parallel runs across devices, browsers, and operating systems make it suitable for QA programs that need a shared automation layer rather than a mobile-only tool.

The standout capability is its combination of AI computer vision and model-based test generation. Visual interaction can work without source-code or DOM access, while unified reporting and root-cause analysis help connect results across complex systems. Keysight offers a 14-day evaluation and uses a contact-sales pricing model, with no free plan. Choose Eggplant when cross-platform reuse, source-independent testing, and broad system coverage matter more than a narrowly focused mobile workflow. Teams seeking a simpler mobile-only tool or a self-serve pricing experience may prefer a more focused alternative.
