Kestra is a declarative workflow orchestration platform for data engineers, software engineers, and platform teams. Workflows can be created in YAML or through a no-code editor, then run across languages and infrastructure. Scheduling, webhooks, polling, realtime events, flow triggers, MCP triggers, APIs, and external systems support varied orchestration patterns. Deployment spans web, API, self-hosted, managed cloud, on-premises, and air-gapped environments.

The Open Source plan includes declarative workflows, 1,200+ plugins, event-driven scheduling, and unlimited flows and executions. Enterprise Edition adds LDAP, SCIM, custom RBAC, SSO, audit logs, multiple tenants, worker groups, and task runners, with cloud, on-premises, and air-gapped deployment options. Kestra Cloud provides fully managed hosting, automatic scaling, built-in security and governance, SOC 2 compliance, and pay-as-you-scale usage. The plan structure makes the free open-source deployment accessible, while larger teams can select governance or managed hosting capabilities as their operating model requires.

Kestra’s integration breadth is a central strength. Plugins connect with AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, BigQuery, Snowflake, Kafka, Slack, GitHub, GitLab, Terraform, Kubernetes, and dbt, while API and Terraform integration support automation around the platform. Execution histories expose task status, logs, outputs, metrics, and timing, and workflows can use retries, failure policies, alerts, replay, Git synchronization, version history, and human approval gates. Kestra suits teams seeking open-source control and broad ecosystem coverage; teams wanting managed hosting or enterprise governance should evaluate the corresponding paid edition.
