JSON Hero is a web-based JSON viewer, formatter, validator, editor, and sharing tool for developers who need a quick way to inspect or distribute JSON. Its browser interface formats and minifies documents, checks JSON syntax, displays collapsible structures, searches keys and values, detects JSON on the clipboard, and supports imports from local files or public URLs. Most processing runs locally in the browser, while optional share links upload documents for automatic deletion after the applicable retention period.
The Free plan covers the core workflow at no cost and does not require an account. It supports documents up to 100 KB, formatting, minification, syntax validation, unescaping, search, downloads, and share links that expire after 7 days. Pro costs $4.99 per user per month or $49 per user per year. It raises the document limit to 1 MB, adds saved collections, permits 500 shares per day, provides priority email replies, and offers share links lasting 7, 30, or 90 days, or until deletion. The published pricing page says Pro is not yet on sale.
