itemit is cloud-based asset tracking software for organizations managing equipment, tools, IT hardware, medical devices and other physical assets. It combines an asset register with location, ownership and custody history, plus QR and barcode scanning, bookings, check-outs, audits, reports, reminders and issue tracking. iOS and Android apps support offline work, while the web platform provides broader access. It is suited to teams that need a shared record of physical assets and clearer control over movement, maintenance and accountability.
Pricing is structured around three annual plans. Starter costs £399 per year and covers QR code and barcode tagging, up to 1,000 assets and up to three users. Pro costs £1,599 per year and adds unlimited users, GPS tracker support, handheld RFID reader support and priority support. Industrial costs £2,999 per year and adds fixed RFID reader support, Active Directory access, the itemit API and invoice payment. A 14-day free trial is available, but there is no free plan. The published starting price is £33.25 per month when billed annually, with VAT and local taxes excluded.
The main distinction is how far itemit extends beyond a basic register. GPS and RFID support can suit organizations tracking equipment across locations, while reminders cover inspections, warranties and maintenance dates. Slack, Microsoft Entra ID, REST API and Zapier integrations support wider workflows, and the Industrial plan adds directory and API access. Organizations needing offline mobile access, bookings, audits and hardware-assisted tracking should find the feature range relevant. Buyers seeking a free product, a small user allowance at entry level or simpler asset lists without annual pricing should consider a more limited tool instead.
