Our verdict on Invivo
Invivo is Osteoid’s dental imaging and treatment-planning software for dentists, specialists, laboratories and dental service organizations. Its desktop and cloud components connect 3D visualization with case collaboration: Invivo 7 covers implant, orthodontic and radiology workflows, while Invivo Workspace provides browser-based DICOM viewing and sharing. It is a fit for teams that want to work with CBCT and intraoral scanner files in DICOM or STL formats and need both desktop tools and cloud access.
The plans make it possible to start with case exchange before paying for 3D viewing. Free includes chat, contacts, uploading and downloading cases, 1 GB starting storage and sharing for 3 cases per month; cases expire after 30 days. Standard costs $39.99 per month or $399.99 per year and adds a 3D web viewer, Invivo Lite, 50 GB starting storage and unlimited case expiration. Premium is $194.99 per month, with Invivo 7 and 100 GB starting storage. Ultimate is $259.99 per month and adds 3D Analysis, stitching, reports, MD Studio and STL export, with 200 GB starting storage. Enterprise offers custom configuration for groups of five or more.
Its combination of browser viewing and Windows and macOS desktop software suits practices that need to move between image review, planning and sharing. Measurement tools, comments, patient-facing animations, consultation and report tools, and multi-office user and license administration broaden the workflows beyond viewing scans. AI features and HIPAA compliance are also listed. The trade-off is that key desktop capabilities such as Invivo 7 and analysis are tied to higher tiers, while the free plan is limited for regular case sharing. Teams needing a free way to exchange occasional cases can start there; those requiring advanced planning or multi-office administration should assess the paid tier that includes the needed tools. Organizations prioritizing a longer-established vendor may prefer a more mature suite.
