Our verdict on InvGate Asset Management

InvGate Asset Management is an IT asset management platform for mid-size and enterprise organizations. It centralizes hardware, software, cloud, database, and network discovery with lifecycle, contract, license, compliance, and financial management. The platform supports cloud service and on-premises deployment across web, Windows, macOS, Linux, Android, API, and self-hosted environments. Its strongest fit is a large organization that needs one system for inventory, infrastructure relationships, software governance, and asset operations.

The published annual plans create a clear split by scale. Starter costs $1,499 per year and includes Automated Discovery, AI Hub, Health Rules, and support for 500 IP devices. Pro costs $5 per IP device per year, is listed for 500–5,000 IP devices, and adds SSO integration, automatic CMDB mapping, and software deployment. Enterprise uses custom pricing and supports up to 1,000,000 IP devices, with on-premise hosting, data residency options, and dedicated servers. A 30-day free trial is available, but there is no free plan.

Coverage is broader than basic inventory management. InvGate combines agent-based and agentless discovery, lifecycle tracking, CMDB visualization, software metering, authorization policies, barcode and QR code generation, mobile QR-code scanning, remote deployment, reporting, dashboards, workflow automation, and AI-powered natural-language search and recommendations. Integrations include Microsoft Intune, JAMF, Microsoft SCCM/MECM, Active Directory, Microsoft Entra ID, AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Workspace, VMware vCenter, ServiceNow, Jira, Zendesk, and Slack. Choose it when deep ITAM coverage and hybrid deployment matter; smaller teams seeking a free plan or lower entry cost should consider a narrower alternative.
