Our verdict on Ink
Ink is a browser-based infinite-canvas whiteboard for people collaborating with AI agents. It supports notes, tasks, documents, images, frames, connectors, forms, records, live-data blocks and embedded content. Teams can use it for project planning, diagramming, interactive wireframes, walkthroughs and agent-assisted collaboration. Web, iOS and Android access broaden availability, while publishing, sharing and website embedding make it suitable for lightweight distribution beyond the board itself.
The plan structure is straightforward. The Free plan costs $0 flat and includes unlimited boards, unlimited agent collaborators, publishing, sharing, embedding and going live, plus Interactive Pro blocks on 3 boards. Pro costs $5 per editor per month, billed monthly, and adds Pro blocks on unlimited boards, forms, records and live data everywhere, along with first access to new releases. Enterprise adds SSO and SCIM, agent permission policies, audit log export and regional data residency. This makes Pro accessible for individuals and small teams that need richer interactive boards, while larger organizations should evaluate the Enterprise feature set and commercial terms directly.
Ink’s main distinction is its structured, agent-accessible canvas. Agents can read and write boards through an API or MCP, and changes are attributed and undoable through versioned restore points. Claude, ChatGPT and MCP-compatible agent tools are supported, and sandboxed HTML renderers extend what boards can display. That focus suits teams building agent-assisted workflows or publishing interactive board experiences. It is less suited to buyers prioritizing a mature ecosystem of traditional whiteboard integrations or conventional server-side AI features. Choose Ink for agent-driven collaboration, structured board objects and publishing; consider an alternative if broad integration coverage is the primary requirement.
